Free up your heart and head with a good glass of wine, get the feel of our land with its distinctive character and vineyards overlooking the lake. Castel Sallegg is a treasure chest filled with impressive personalities, unique narratives and a tradition we have been building on for over 170 years.

All of this you will experience at Castel Sallegg when you descend with a slight shiver into the cool, historic wine cellar located up to 10 meters underground. During the tours, we share stories about the wine and our vineyards at Lake Kaltern, and about our ancestors, archdukes, and vice-queens. And during the guided tastings, we enjoy the wines together with bruschettas as you like.

The tours start at the Vineria at Leisenhof, not far from Castel Sallegg. The starting point is easily reachable on foot from the center of Kaltern, and there are also parking options for cars and bicycle racks.
